Procedure to change LOM or LOP’s battery

Proceed on a table, in a dry place, dust free. Proceed on one LOM or one LOP at a time, in order not to cross the tubes and cards which are bound by their serial number. You have to operate quickly (less than 5minutes) not to degrade the performances of the absorber of moisture.

Withdraw the tube cap carefully, take care not to damage the lips of the tube cap.

Extract the electronic card, the battery and the anti-moisture bag together. Maintain the label so that remains in the tube.

Disconnect the battery : Hold the card with one hand, fingers on the layout area of the serial number label, taking care not to touch any electronic component. You can draw on the 2 wires of the battery at the same time, to extract the connector. Put the worn battery on side.

Connect the new battery: present the connector of the battery, the smooth side on the electronic card. Hold the card with one hand, fingers on the layout area of the serial number label, taking care not to touch any electronic component. Pinch the base plate with the other hand until it locks.

Insert the unit into the tube, positioning the battery in first in the prolongation of the card and without scratching the label.

Put the anti-moisture bag back on the side of the battery’s white connector, in order to maintain a space for Leds (lights indicator).

Carefully close the tube with the cap in order to assure the waterproofness of the LOM and of the LOP.
